1. Provider and scope

These terms apply to the RecipeStorage Android app provided by Jan Prior. Provider and contact details are in the legal notice. Mandatory statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

2. Service

RecipeStorage supports local management of recipes, media, shopping and pantry lists, cooking sessions, and planning data. Accounts, cross-device synchronization, and family spaces are optional online features. Some features may be identified as test or preview functionality.

3. Accounts and family spaces

You are responsible for protecting your Google account. Family members can view, change, and delete shared content. Share invitation codes only with intended members. The administrator manages memberships and can delete the entire family space.

4. User content and third-party rights

You may store or share only content, images, and PDFs you are permitted to use. RecipeStorage does not grant rights to content from external recipe sites. The source provider's terms may also apply when you import, store, or share its content. You retain your rights in your own content and grant the provider only the technical rights needed to deliver the sync and family functions you select.

Family spaces must not be used for unlawful, harassing, threatening, or otherwise abusive content or conduct. Members can report a recipe or family member in the app. A report must identify the affected item and explain why the content or conduct is considered problematic. A report does not automatically cause suspension or deletion. When a sufficiently concrete report is submitted, the provider may review the affected family, including its content, membership information, and relevant activity, to the extent needed to investigate the report. Other families are not accessed and there is no automatic content monitoring. Where appropriate, reported content may be restricted or removed and memberships may be limited. Insufficiently substantiated reports may be closed without a broader content review or answered with a request for additional information. Deleting an entire family space is reserved for serious or systematic violations where a less intrusive measure is insufficient.

5. Recipes, health, and food safety

Imported, recognized, or AI-edited information may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check ingredients, quantities, allergens, cooking times, temperatures, and dietary suitability. RecipeStorage is not medical, nutritional, or food-safety advice.

6. External websites and AI services

External links and preview images are supplied by independent providers. With AI handoff, you decide whether and to which third party you submit generated text. The third party is responsible for its availability, content, privacy practices, and results.

7. Backups and availability

Regularly export important data and store backups safely. Maintenance, device or network problems, and Google/Firebase outages may temporarily affect online functions. Continuous uninterrupted availability is not promised to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Paid features

If paid cloud or sync features are offered, the price, billing period, automatic renewal, benefits, and cancellation terms are shown before purchase. Android subscriptions are managed through Google Play. A cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the paid period shown there. Trial or introductory offers may have additional terms disclosed before purchase.

9. Liability

Statutory liability rules apply. For slight negligence, the provider is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable damage typical for the contract. This limitation does not apply to injury to life, body, or health, intent or gross negligence, product liability, an express guarantee, or where applicable law does not allow such a limitation.

10. Ending use and changes

You can remove local data, your account, and cloud data as described in the deletion instructions. Material changes to these terms will be identified appropriately. German law applies only to the extent that it does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections under the law of their habitual residence.
