Delete Account and Data

Delete directly in the app

1. Open RecipeStorage.
2. Open Sync/Account.
3. Select Delete account and data and confirm.

A family administrator must first delete the family space or transfer the administrator role so the shared space is not left without an administrator.

Request deletion by email

Please identify:

• the Google email address used with RecipeStorage.
• whether you want to delete only your personal account or also a family space you administer.
• the family name, if relevant.

Never send a Google password, access code, or payment information. We may request reasonable proof of account ownership to prevent abusive deletions. We normally confirm or respond within one month and often much sooner.

Data deleted

• your Firebase Authentication account for RecipeStorage.
• personal synchronized recipes, ingredients, images, and retained original PDFs.
• personal shopping/pantry lists, shopping areas, and ingredient mappings.
• personal weekly and calendar plans.
• family memberships and attributable import bug reports, family reports, and support requests submitted by your account.

Data not deleted automatically

• local data on other devices that no longer synchronize. Delete it in the app or uninstall there.
• exports and backup files created by you.
• shared family content while other members continue to use the family space.
• data that must exceptionally be retained under a legal obligation.

Delete an entire family space

The administrator can delete a family space from member management. This removes the space, memberships, invitations, shared recipes, media, shopping lists, and planning data for all members. It cannot be undone.

Subscriptions

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play. Manage and cancel subscriptions separately in Google Play. Access continues according to the billing period shown there.
